Unione Italiana Vini Società Cooperativa is Italy's oldest wine industry association, founded in 1895 in Milan by merchants fighting fraud in the wine trade.

Today, it represents over 150,000 producers and accounts for 85% of Italian wine exports. Its headquarters house a unique historical archive and a specialized wine library available to researchers. This is a place for industry professionals, not tourists—there are no tastings or retail sales.
