Pomnik Partyzanta

The Partisan Monument is a moving, three-meter-high bronze sculpture by Giacomo Manzù, commemorating the heroes of the resistance movement who died at the hands of the fascists.

One side of the monument depicts a young woman reaching towards a lifeless man suspended by his legs - an image reminiscent of martyrdom and biblical scenes. The other side features a moving poem by the artist: 'Partisan! I saw you hanging. Motionless. Only your hair moved slightly on your forehead...'

This is a place for reflection on resistance, sacrifice, and the struggle for freedom—a symbol of anti-fascist courage.
