Description
The Royal Palace of Gödöllő is one of the largest Baroque palaces in Hungary, built in the 18th century by Count Antal Grassalkovich I.
This unique residence, with its characteristic double U-shape with eight wings, impresses with its rich interiors and history associated with Empress Elisabeth (Sisi).
Visitors can enjoy the restored royal chambers, ceremonial hall, baroque theater and beautiful formal gardens. The recently renovated riding hall and stables introduce the equestrian culture of the palace, and the small Horthy bunker is an interesting historical curiosity.
