Description
Törley Sparkling Wine Cellar is a 140-year-old institution that is one of the oldest and most renowned sparkling wine producers in Hungary.
The cellar system carved into the limestone bedrock of Budafok provides ideal conditions for Champagne production thanks to its constant temperature.
Visitors can admire the factory's romantic, asymmetrical building inspired by Gothic and Renaissance French castles, with its richly decorated facade.
The Exhibition and Visitor Center offers a unique experience, presenting the history and development of Hungary's sparkling wine culture through contemporary relics and records.

Szabolcs Józsaa month agoVery informative and fun museum with a world class presentation. The tour explains the rich tradition of the oldest sparkling wine producer of Hungary. They take you on a journey through the museum down to the cellar which is an active work area where you will see hundreds of bottles maturing. The guides are very capable and knowledgable but not sure they have english tours.
You have to make appointment in advance. We did the tour with a small child.
At the end of the tour there is a wine tasting of 4 different sparkling wines and you can buy bottles in the store on very reasonable prices.
