Vrata od Pila

Vrata od Pila is one of the two main gates of Dubrovnik's medieval walls, built in the 16th century.

This impressive defensive structure consists of an inner gate (1460) and an outer gate (1537) connected by a stone bridge, which replaced the original wooden drawbridge.

Above the arch of the outer gate is a statue of St. Blažej - the patron saint of Dubrovnik. The site was also the set of the popular TV series 'Game of Thrones', where scenes of the battle in the Black Current Bay were filmed.
