Description
Phi Phi Viewpoint 2 is one of the most spectacular viewpoints on Phi Phi Don Island. Located 186 meters above sea level, it offers a breathtaking panorama of the turquoise waters of Tonsai Bay and Loh Dalum.
A scenic trail leads to the viewpoint through lush vegetation, where wild monkeys can be spotted. A colorful garden with Thai statues and a cafe await, where you can rest after a 30-40 minute climb.
It's the perfect place for photography and nature lovers who want to capture the island's beauty from the best perspective.

Erik Eriksson3 months agoThe hike up to Phi Phi Viewpoint 2 is 100% worth it. The trail is well-pathed with maintained steps, making it doable even for older folks and young kids. It takes about 10 minutes to reach Viewpoint 2, and the views at the top are breathtaking—panoramic sights of the twin bays and lush greenery all around.
It costs around 40 baht in total to access both Viewpoints 1 and 2, and the area is really well-kept. There’s shaded seating where you can catch your breath, and even a couple of cafés at the top where you can sip a coffee while taking in the sunrise or sunset.
That said, the climb can be tough—especially once the sun’s out—so going early in the morning or later in the afternoon is your best bet. Aim to start around 6:45am if you’re chasing sunrise; the sun doesn’t rise above the mountains until about 7:20am because of the island’s layout.
There’s also a cozy family-run restaurant up top with a balcony that gives you a killer view—perfect for sunset pics. Just make sure to bring water, sunscreen, and decent shoes. Take your time, stay hydrated, and enjoy the hike. It’s a peaceful little pocket of Phi Phi and definitely a must-do while you’re here.
Vishva Oralie2 months agoSuper nice and not too crowded in May. If it rains there is shelter. Need to pay 50B entrance fee at Viewpoint 1. We wanted to go up to viewpoint 3 but I think they closed it as we couldn’t find a way up.
Nitay Dadon4 months agoIt's a hard climb, especially when the sun is out. But it's worth it. There is a nice family restaurant on the top , with a balcony to a really great view. Near sunset is a good time to get great pictures.
Bring sunscreen and water and stay hydrated.Related categories
