Miradouro do Ninho da Manta

Miradouro do Ninho da Manta is a unique viewpoint located on the Vereda do Areeiro (PR1) trail in Madeira. It is named after the nesting site of the common buzzard, although these birds no longer nest here today.

The point offers a breathtaking view of Madeira's Central Mountain Massif, often emerging from above the clouds. It's also a great place to observe rare bird species, including the endangered Madeira's behemoth.

The viewpoint is an ideal stop for both advanced hikers heading to Pico Ruivo and nature lovers seeking spectacular scenery.
