Aussichtsturm Schlossberg

Aussichtsturm Schlossberg is a 35-meter-high observation tower with a unique twisting design, located on Castle Hill in Freiburg.

Designed by local architect Hubert Horbach, the tower was built in 2002 with the support of donors whose names are inscribed on the steps.

Climbing the 153 steps, you'll discover breathtaking views of Freiburg and the Black Forest. The structure combines six douglas tree trunks with a central steel staircase to create a fascinating example of modern architecture blended into the natural surroundings.
