"Văcărești" Nature Park

Văcărești Nature Park is the largest green area in Bucharest, known as the 'Bucharest Delta.' This unique ecosystem of urban wetlands was created on the site of an unfinished water reservoir from the 1980s, which nature reclaimed after the fall of communism.

The park impresses with its biodiversity - more than 300 plant species, 200 bird species and numerous mammals, including otters and foxes. From observation towers, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding wetlands.
