Description

Fort Ticonderoga Ferry is a historic ferry crossing that has been in operation since 1759, offering a scenic seven-minute cruise across Lake Champlain.

This unique ferry uses a system of two parallel steel cables, operated by a diesel-powered tugboat. It can accommodate up to 18 cars and connects the Lake George and Adirondack regions of New York State with the Middlebury and central Green Mountains areas of Vermont.

During the journey, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains, making the crossing not only a means of transportation, but also an attraction in itself.
