Presidio of San Francisco

Presidio of San Francisco is a sprawling 600-hectare national park that combines rich military history with picturesque landscapes at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Discover Fort Point, a brick and granite fortress from the Civil War era; the Presidio Officers' Club, built in 1776 from Spanish-era adobe; and Tunnel Tops, a 14-hectare park with views of the bay. More than half of the 870 buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Trails lead through forests and meadows to viewpoints, and the beaches of Crissy Field are ideal for bird watching.
