Description
Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is a true gem of Kentucky, known as the 'Niagara of the South'. This impressive 68-foot-wide, 125-foot-high waterfall impresses with a powerful roar and the spectacular sight of 3,600 cubic feet of water falling every second.
The park offers the unique phenomenon of the 'moonbow' - a moonbow, an extremely rare phenomenon created by the mist of the waterfall during a full moon. It is the only place of its kind in the western hemisphere!
There are 17 miles of hiking trails, the historic Dupont Lodge, cabins and a campground. The active can enjoy rafting on the rushing river, horseback riding or gemstone prospecting.
