Bandelier National Monument is a remarkable place where history meets nature. Stretching over 33,000 acres, the grounds hide the remains of the Ancestral Puebloan culture from 11,000 years ago.

Discover fascinating petroglyphs, dwellings carved into the rocks and numerous historical artifacts. More than 70 miles of hiking trails invite you to explore the canyons and plateaus.

The Pueblo Loop Trail (2.2 miles) takes you through archaeological sites, and for nature lovers, we recommend the 5-mile trail to Upper Falls, where you can admire waterfalls and observe wildlife.
