Lady's Mile Beach

Lady's Mile Beach is a beautiful five-kilometer long beach in Cyprus, famous for its crystal clear water and dark gray sand that turns golden brown at the southern end.

It is a place of exceptional ecological importance - it is adjacent to a wetland area where pink flamingos and herons can be seen. The beach is also an important nesting site for endangered sea turtle species.

The beach is named after a governor's mare from British rule that often galloped along the coast. Local restaurants serve fresh fish and traditional Cypriot food, and some offer inflatable water attractions for children.
