Description
Ataturk Arboretum is a unique botanical garden covering 296 hectares located in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul.
Established in 1982 in honor of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, it impresses with its collection of more than 2,000 species of native and exotic plants. Particularly impressive is the collection of oak trees of various varieties.
It is an ideal place for photography lovers, especially in autumn, when the arboretum sparkles with spectacular colors. The grounds also include a historic Kirazlı dam dating back to 1818 and a plant nursery established in 1916.
