Description

Yedikule Fortress is a fascinating fortress with seven towers in Istanbul, combining Byzantine and Ottoman architecture.

Built in 1458 by Sultan Mehmed II, it initially served as the Ottoman Empire's treasury and later as a royal prison.

The fortress harbors many legends and stories that fire the imagination of visitors. The Golden Gate (Altınkapı), part of the complex, was once the main entrance to Constantinople.

It's a place where history comes to life, allowing you to feel the atmosphere of ancient times and learn about the lives of those who passed through its walls.
