Description
The Pienińska Road - Dunajec River Gorge Trail is one of the most scenic trails in Poland and Slovakia. The 18-kilometer route leads along the spectacular Dunajec River Gorge, where limestone rocks rise as high as 300 meters.
Rafting in traditional rafts is the most popular attraction, during which rafters share local legends about Janosik. The trail can also be traversed on foot or by bicycle, admiring the unique flora and fauna, including the rare apollo butterfly niepylak.
The area is also home to Niedzica and Czorsztyn castles, which add historical charm to the entire trip.
