The Ridgeway National Trail is Britain's oldest trail, measuring 139 km in length. In use for more than 5,000 years, this historic route passes through picturesque chalk hills and offers unforgettable views of the English countryside.

Michael Scott Connolly4 years agoAvebury Ridgeway National Trail provides a great track for overlooking the sites and countryside around West Kennet area, including Bronze Age Barrows on hilltops. The trails terminating/starting point at The Sanctuary on the A4 has a small parking area across the road, which is also handy for visiting East Kennett.
