Description
The Cateran Trail is a 103-kilometer loop in the heart of Scotland, named after the Caterans - historic cattle thieves active between the 14th and 17th centuries.
The trail passes through scenic countryside, majestic moors and ancient woodlands, offering unforgettable views and a connection to the region's history.
The trail is fully marked, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced hikers. The trail's highest point, An Lairig (648m), rewards with a magnificent panorama of the area. An additional attraction is the possibility of geocaching along the route.
