Wasserturm

Wasserturm is an impressive water tower in Neu-Ulm, completed in 1898, which has become a symbol of the city. It rises to a height of 47 meters and impresses with its mix of Neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau styles.

Its distinctive dome and turret ridge remind some of a Prussian spiked helmet. The tower is located on the site of a former federal fortress, on a gunpowder magazine dating to after 1850.

It is one of six surviving gunpowder warehouses in Neu-Ulm, surrounded by the picturesque Kollmannspark with its manicured lawns and large deciduous trees.
