Description
Planina Cave is one of Slovenia's longest caves, stretching over 6.6 km. This underground natural wonder impresses with spectacular rock formations - stalactites and stalagmites shaped over thousands of years.
The cave is famous for its exceptional biodiversity - it is inhabited by more than 100 species of animals, including the endemic cave daphne (Proteus anguinus), which can live up to 100 years!
Two sightseeing options are available: a classic one-hour walking tour and a longer 4-5 hour boat trip to explore the deeper parts of the cave. This is an ideal place for nature lovers and adventurers.
