Description

National Trust - Carrick-a-Rede is a remarkable attraction on the coast of Northern Ireland. The famous 20-meter long rope bridge, suspended 30 meters above the rough sea, connects the mainland to the picturesque island of Carrick-a-Rede.

The bridge crossing was originally built in 1755 for salmon fishermen. Today it offers unforgettable thrills and breathtaking views of the Atlantic, Rathlin Island and the Scottish coast.

On the island you can visit a historic fishing shack that was used for more than 400 years. It's a great place for nature lovers - you can watch fulmars, gulls and auks, and sometimes even dolphins or giant sharks.
