Montagne de Bueren

Montagne de Bueren is an impressive historic staircase in the heart of Liège, consisting of 374 steps with a 30% incline.

Climbing 70 meters is quite a physical challenge, but the reward is breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the River Meuse.

The staircase was built in the 19th century to provide soldiers with quick access from the citadel to the city center. Today it's a popular tourist attraction, especially during cultural events, when the staircase is decorated with candles or flowers, creating a magical atmosphere.
