Latarnia Morska Gdańsk Nowy Port

The Gdańsk Nowy Port Lighthouse is one of the most beautiful maritime monuments on the Polish coast. Built in 1893, it served not only as a lighthouse, but also as a port pilot tower and the only time ball base on the Polish coast.

From its top you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Gdansk harbor, Westerplatte and the Gdansk Bay as far as Gdynia and Hel.

The lighthouse hides a fascinating history - it was from it that the first shots of World War II were fired. Inside you can admire the preserved optical equipment and an interesting maritime exhibition. The daily show of lowering the time ball, restored in 2008, is an unforgettable attraction for history and technology lovers.
