Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre is a fascinating place for lovers of paleontology and geology.
The center is famous for its impressive collection of fossils, including an Ichthyosaur that was featured in David Attenborough's BBC documentary. Interactive exhibits, a video microscope and a small aquarium with sea creatures from Lyme Bay provide educational entertainment.
The biggest attraction is the organized fossil search tours and rock scrambles, led by experienced volunteers. Children can discover their own fossils in a special sandpit.
