Description
Badbury Rings is an impressive Iron Age fort located in the county of Dorset, England. Dating to around 800 BC, this ancient fortification consists of three concentric ramparts and moats that once protected the Celtic tribe of Durotriges.
From the top of the hill, 100 meters above sea level, there are beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. This is an ideal place for a family walk, picnic or kite flying.
The site is also associated with the legend of the possible location of the Battle of Mons Badonicus, which adds to its mystery and historical charm.
