Description
Tømmerholtdammen is a picturesque tourist area in Trondheim, ideal for nature lovers.
Originally created as a drinking water reservoir for the city, this artificial lake is surrounded by beautiful coniferous forests and hilly terrain.
Well-marked trails offer both leisurely strolls and more challenging hikes. In winter, the trails are illuminated, making it possible to be active even after dark.
You can also fish, have a picnic or simply enjoy the tranquility and scenic views of the Norwegian countryside.

Kathe K11 months agoA beautiful place with a lot of paths around the lake. There's also another little lake on top of the bigger one.
Also a lot of places to BBQ.
Sneha B3 years agoThis place is very beautiful and great spots to picnic and swim as well. hiking, cycling and skiing in winters- all season trails and reasons to visit this place.
While hiking to this place, you will find a special variety of lichen- old man's beard lichen, this type is extremely sensitive to air and grows only where there is no-pollution.
We even spotted a baby elk on the trial.
Its very close to city and a pure bliss.
Norway is one of the places which tries to protect and appreciate the nature at its best.
Youngjoo Kim4 years agoNeed a little walk uphill (10-20 min) from the parking lot. Nice place for families and BBQ.
My second visit was for camping. A little bit cold at night (3-5 degree lower than central), but cozy because there were not many people.Related categories
