Description
The English Galleriet is a jewel of Nordic art hidden on the island of Djurgården in Stockholm. Designed in the Art Nouveau style by Ferdinand Boberg in 1907, the gallery impresses not only with its architecture, but also with its unique collection of works from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The spacious halls with glass roofs feature works by such masters as Edvard Munch, Carl Larsson and August Strindberg. A special treasure is the tower room containing Nietzsche's death mask and prints by Munch.
Surrounded by a picturesque park, the gallery is the perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering an unforgettable art experience in a unique setting.
