Description

The War Museum is a fascinating place where military history comes alive before your eyes. The museum is housed in a historic arsenal dating back to 1604, built by King Christian IV, which adds a unique atmosphere to the tour.

Impressive collections of historical weapons await you here, from samurai swords to modern rifles, as well as interactive exhibits showcasing the development of military technology from the 16th century to the present day.

Particularly moving are the personal stories of soldiers and civilians, which bring the human dimension of armed conflicts closer. Temporary exhibitions about the Danish-Swedish wars, World War II or modern conflicts mean that each visit can bring new discoveries.
