Description
The Ladby Viking Museum is a unique place where you can see the only surviving Viking boat grave in Denmark. Discovered in 1935, the 22-meter-long vessel hides the remains of an unnamed king along with horses, dogs and valuable objects dating back to 925 AD.
Fascinating exhibitions await in the museum: 'The World of King Ladby,' 'The Viking Wardrobe,' where you'll try on period costumes, and 'The King and the Warrior,' with a replica of the ship and seven-meter-long embroidery inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry.
In summer, you can admire the reconstructed Ladbydragen ship bobbing in the fjord exactly where the original was pulled ashore more than 1,000 years ago.
