Description

The Round Tower is the oldest working astronomical observatory in Europe, built between 1637 and 1642 by King Christian IV.

A unique spiral ramp winds 7.5 times around the tower's hollow core, once enabling the transportation of astronomical equipment.

The viewing platform offers a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Copenhagen, and on sunny days you can even see the Swedish coast. The Library Hall, located halfway to the top, hosts art exhibitions, concerts and lectures.
