Description

The Old Bank of England is a historic pub in the heart of London that combines architectural splendor with modern hospitality.

It is housed in the former 1886 Bank of England building, designed in the impressive Italianate style by Sir Arthur Blomfield. The interior impresses with three huge chandeliers, an ornate ceiling and wall paintings.

Beneath the pub is a maze of underground tunnels and vaults that once held gold bars and even for a short time the crown jewels. Also a unique attraction is a vintage Routemaster bus converted into a bar.
