Description
The Museum of Ethnography and Folk Art is housed in a historic 18th century building, built in the Muscel style. This architectural gem, known as Villa 'Gică Ştefănescu', was built in 1735 and beautifully restored in 1928.
The interiors hide fascinating collections of ceramics, folk costumes and textiles. On the first floor you can admire a traditional kitchen, a 'small house' with exhibits for spinning and weaving, and a 'big house' for hospitality.
The first floor delights with an exhibition of pottery, pyrographic furniture and a captivating parade of Muscel costumes - a real treat for lovers of ethnography and local cultural history.
