Description
Iyara Seafood is a charming canal-side restaurant located on Klong Prao Beach on Koh Chang Island. Wooden buildings on stilts over the water create a unique atmosphere for the place.
The restaurant's specialty is fresh seafood prepared in the traditional Thai way. The menu includes, among others, fried perch in tamarind sauce, boiled mussels with spicy dip or shrimp and glass noodle salad.
An additional attraction is the boat cruises, which can be rented for a private sunset cruise. There is also a SUP center nearby, offering paddleboard rentals.

Vik2 months agoI had dinner at Iyara Seafood in Koh Chang and it was such a memorable experience. The restaurant is right on the water, built on wooden stilts, and the vibe is super peaceful—perfect for watching the sunset. We ordered the fried seabass in tamarind sauce, prawn glass noodle salad, and a spicy vegetable curry, and honestly, everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The seabass was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the salad had just the right amount of spice. It’s not the cheapest place on the island, but the food quality and the atmosphere totally made it worth it.
What really made the night special was the free firefly boat ride they offered after dinner. Floating down a quiet mangrove canal in the dark with little lights flickering in the trees—it was magical, like something out of a movie. The staff were friendly and attentive without being pushy, and even though it got busy, the service stayed smooth. If you’re in Koh Chang and want a seafood dinner with a view and a little something extra, I’d definitely recommend Iyara.

Friendly service team and the whole experience worth the praise!
