Description
Rainbow Village is a colorful tourist attraction in Taichung, Taiwan, which was created thanks to an unusual story. The former military village was saved from demolition by 96-year-old resident Huang Yung-Fu, who covered the buildings with fabulous, surreal paintings. His childlike painting style earned him the nickname 'Taiwan's Hayao Miyazaki.
This artistic installation attracts photography and art lovers from around the world. Walking between the colorful buildings, visitors can admire the unique works and buy souvenirs with the artist's distinctive designs.
