Description
National Trust - Slindon Estate is a 1,400-acre agricultural and woodland area located on the South Downs in West Sussex. The area impresses with its rich history dating back to the Paleolithic era and the perfectly preserved Roman Stane Street road dating back to 79 AD.
The estate offers more than 40 kilometers of public trails, ideal for walking among wooded paths, farmland and heathland. Nature lovers will appreciate the variety of flora and fauna, including old trees, bluebells and woodland orchids.
A unique attraction is the Northwood Project, which restores former farmland to woodland, and Nore Folly, an early 19th century farmhouse on Nore Hill.
