Description

Glasenbachklamm is a unique gorge located in Elsbethen, which impresses with its rock formations and rich nature. It is not a traditional gorge, but a valley formed by the Klausbach stream after the last ice age.

The area is famous for fossils from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, including ichthyosaurs. It has been protected as a 'Protected Landscape Area' since 1987.
