Fishermen's Trail (Luz-Lagos) is a scenic 11-kilometer section of trail along Portugal's Algarve coast. Part of a larger 226.5-kilometer trail, this route offers breathtaking views of the coast and the iconic rock formations of Ponta da Piedade.
Hiking between Praia da Luz and Lagos, you'll pass through aromatic scrubland, sandy beaches and rocky cliffs. The trail is well marked with blue and green stripes and takes about 3-4 hours to walk.
The best time to hike is from September to June, when the weather is milder. The trail is of medium difficulty, with few steep climbs and descents.
