Description
Camino Natural de Fuerteventura GR 131 is a scenic hiking trail of about 160 kilometers that runs from the north to the south of the island.
Divided into 9 stages, the route takes you through a variety of landscapes, including volcanic terrain, desert areas and coastal beaches. During the trek you'll see the Islote de Lobos Nature Park, the sacred mountain of Tindaya, and the Betancuria Rural Park with its distinctive U-shaped gorges.
The trail is well marked with arrows and red and white markers for easy navigation. As you hike, you'll visit Betancuria, the former capital of the Canary Islands with its colonial architecture and viewpoints with statues of ancient Guanche kings.
