Strzecha Akademicka

The Academic Thatch is a historic mountain chalet located at 1,258 meters above sea level in the Karkonosze National Park. A place with a fascinating history dating back to the 17th century, when it functioned as a shepherd's hut for travelers.

The current building, erected in 1907, offers 140 beds in various types of rooms and a restaurant serving delicious home-cooked meals, including pancakes with cheese and dumplings.

It's an ideal stop on a hike to Snow Mountain, with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and the Little Pond Cauldron.
