Description
The stopped Cathedral Clock is a fascinating historical monument in Zagreb Cathedral. The clock stopped during the 1880 earthquake that destroyed much of the cathedral.
Made of bronze, with gilded hands, it is located at a height of 60 meters in the northern tower of the bell tower. It indicates the exact time of 7:03:03 - the moment when the earthquake occurred.
It is not only a beautiful piece of Gothic architecture, but also a symbolic witness to the city's history. During the tour, you can also admire other elements of the cathedral, including stained glass windows and stone sculptures.
