Description
Staubbachfall Waterfall is one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe, falling from a height of almost 300 meters.
Its name comes from the German word 'Staub' (dust), as the water dissipates into a fine mist before it reaches the ground, creating a 'veil' effect.
A specially constructed path allows you to experience the waterfall up close, and in the evenings during the summer it is beautifully illuminated.
This place inspired Johann Wolfgang von Goethe to write his poem "Song of the Spirits over the Waters".
