Description

The Old Pinakothek is one of the oldest and most renowned art museums in the world, located in the heart of Munich's Kunstareal district.

The museum has an impressive collection of more than 700 European painting masterpieces from the 14th to 18th centuries, including works by masters such as Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Rubens and Leonardo da Vinci.

The building itself is a masterpiece of Neo-Renaissance architecture, designed by Leo von Klenze and built between 1826 and 1836. Despite its destruction during World War II, it was painstakingly rebuilt, preserving the original structure and design.
