The Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is a 120-acre forest paradise with seven trails leading through 13 unique ecosystems, from swamps to pine forests.
This former gold mining site has been transformed into a wild oasis with a 240-meter-deep ravine, century-old oak trees, and a lake. Alligators, foxes, hawks, and turtles can be found here.
Fern gardens, palm trees, and over 100 marked plant species create an educational space. Trails of varying difficulty connect, allowing you to tailor the route to your abilities.
