Conservatory of Flowers

The Conservatory of Flowers is the oldest public greenhouse in North America, a Victorian gem from 1879 tucked away in Golden Gate Park.

Inside, a real journey through time awaits—a century-old Imperial Philodendron under the dome, prehistoric cycads older than dinosaurs, and giant Victoria regia water lilies. The original redwood structure has survived fires, earthquakes, and the Great Depression, retaining over 50% of its original wood.
