Hexentrail, Einstieg zum MTB-Trail is a legal route for mountain biking enthusiasts in the Freiburg area.
It features smooth sections and is relatively easier compared to other trails like the Borderline or Canadian Trail. The trail starts at Illenberg near Luisenhöhe and leads to the sports field on the border between Au and Merzhausen.
Legalized in September 2020, it offers an excellent experience for cyclists of intermediate skill level. Be sure to observe environmental rules - night riding is prohibited, and the upper 50 meters of the route passes through a nature reserve.
