Holyrood Church

Holyrood Church is a fascinating monument with a rich history dating back to 1160. Despite severe damage during the 1940 bombing, the tower and chancel have survived and are now a moving memorial to the Merchant Navy.

The church impresses with its medieval architecture with a distinctive 15th-century tower, decorated with corner pinnacles and buttresses. There are numerous memorials on the grounds, including a fountain commemorating the victims of the Titanic.
