Description
Mogrovejo is a picturesque medieval village in the heart of the Picos de Europa, considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. Visitors are enchanted by its 13th-century defensive tower, Baroque church with a Gothic sculpture of the Madonna, and stone noble houses with wrought-iron balconies and coats of arms.
The village, with a population of only 44, inspired the creators of the film Heidi - the mountain landscapes resemble the Swiss Alps. A walk through the narrow streets is a journey back in time, where every nook and cranny hides architectural treasures and breathtaking views of the Ándara massif.
