Description
Puppy is a monumental, 13-meter-tall sculpture of a West Highland White Terrier puppy, covered in thousands of fresh flowers, created by Jeff Koons in 1992. It has stood in front of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao since 1997.
This world’s largest floral sculpture combines modern technology with the tradition of European topiary. A steel framework supports begonias, pansies, and petunias, which are replaced twice a year. The work even survived a failed ETA bomb attack in 1997, adding to its legendary status.
