The Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a majestic 40-meter-tall sculpture from 1927 that towers over Bilbao. The gilded figure of Christ with outstretched arms, the work of Lorenzo Coullaut Valery, crowns a white sandstone obelisk. Surrounded by the greenery of Jesusen Bihotza Square, it changes character with the light of day, creating a stunning backdrop for photographs.
